These photos come from one collection of 268 photographs, dozens of negatives, and notebooks found by a volunteer at the Pasadena Convention Center. She found these photos scattered in some shrubs by the parking lot entrance for the Paseo. These photos capture a family over the course of several years, from 1979 to 1985. Based on the state of these items when they were found, we believe that the owner evacuated to the convention center in the early aftermath of the fire, parked at the Paseo, and dropped these items as they were heading across the street. All photos appear to have been taken in the Pasadena / Glendale / Burbank area.

Here’s what we know about the owner based on what’s in this collection: they’re an electrician; they had a grey pet cat in the 1980s; they traveled to Massachusetts in autumn 1979; they hiked Havasupai in October 1983; one of the brothers in the family was married around 1985; the groom or the bride was most likely Jewish; also in 1985 they went to the LA Zoo and The Huntington with a woman who appears to be their mother.
